Riverfront Lofts consists of fifty-four condominium units located in two renovated former knitting mill buildings on the Blackstone River in the historic downtown of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The condo is situated in the heart of the Armory Arts District, a growing arts community within the city. Artists living/working in the district receive state tax incentives. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. HISTORY: Built in 1904, the building served as the Lebanon Knitting Mill and other industries until the 1960’s when it was sold to J&K Jewelry. J&K occupied a small portion of the building until it was sold in 2002 to Blackstone Exchange, a realestate development company. The Lebanon Building was combined with an adjoining building, formerly the Vesta Knitting Mill (makers of woolen and cotton underwear) and developed as work/live condominiums in 2004. Many of the residents are artists or designers. Link to the RIVERFRONT LOFTS BLOG Link to secure HOMEOWNERS PORTAL with SenEarthCo Art in Ruins - Riverfront Lofts before and after development.
